New York Vet Returns to the Javits Center November 2018
TULSA, OK—New York Vet, a national, 2-day veterinary conference designed specifically for busy practicing veterinarians and practice teams, will return to New York City on November 8 and 9, 2018, for its second year after a successful inauguration in 2017. A joint venture between Brief Media—publisher of Clinician's Brief, Veterinary Team Brief, and Plumb's® Veterinary Drugs—and CloserStill Media—organizers of Europe's largest veterinary conference, the London Vet Show, as well as France Vet and Deutsche Vet—New York Vet will deliver a comprehensive CE experience to 3000 attendees and 350 exhibitors in twice the square footage.
"New York Vet delivers high-quality CE to veterinary practice teams via a much more affordable and concise model of veterinary event," says Stephen Knowles, CloserStill Media event director. "New York Vet is successful because it offers practical content that addresses the daily challenges veterinary practices face, enabling practitioners to put learning into practice immediately. This unique offering combines an energized and action-packed educational environment with a world-class exhibition floor."
The expanded CE program will cover a variety of practical topics, including sessions ranging from approaches to cognitive dysfunction to indication and use of appetite stimulants. In addition, a veterinary nursing track has been added for 2018, with sessions covering both clinical education and career guidance for the rapidly changing veterinary industry. Attendees can earn up to 16 hours of CE at the event.
"Developing an event that provides an exceptional CE and buying experience for our audience while only requiring 2 days out of practice is consistent with our company philosophy: providing more with less expenditure of time for busy veterinarians," says Elizabeth Green, CEO and founder of Brief Media. "We are delighted by the veterinary community's response to the unique content our team of practicing veterinarians developed for New York Vet as well as the success of commercial exhibitors."
The 2017 event surpassed expectations: More than 2000 attendees—representing all 50 US states—and 200 exhibitors gathered to take advantage of 30+ hours of high-quality, NY-state and RACE-approved CE, designed by the veterinarians behind Clinician's Brief and Veterinary Team Brief. Both attendees and exhibitors were pleased with the quality, presentation, and pacing of the event, and more than 700 attendees have already committed to attend in 2018.
"I liked [New York Vet] so much I've already signed up for next year's conference," says attendee Marsha Smith, DVM. "[Because] the times of the different tracks were staggered... if you stayed in one track, you could have time to see everyone and do everything."
"It is a fantastic show," says exhibitor Lori Young. "We got a lot of foot traffic and contacts to follow up on... We do a lot of shows on the east coast, but here, we are hitting states all over the country."
