CLOSERSTILL VET US ANNOUNCES NEW VETERINARY CE EVENT AUSTIN VET

CLOSERSTILL & BRIEF MEDIA LAUNCH FOURTH VET SHOW IN NORTH AMERICA

NEW YORK, NEW YORK—CloserStill Vet US, LLC, a joint venture between the London‑based exhibition and conference organizer, CloserStill Media, and US‑based veterinary media company, Brief Media, is delighted to announce Austin Vet, their newest veterinary CE event in the United States.

Austin Vet will debut at the Palmer Events Center in Austin, Texas, April 20 – 21, 2020. This conference experience will provide veterinary professionals with innovative veterinary content in a multi‑theater program. Exhibiting vendors will showcase the best tools and solutions in the veterinary marketplace.

Austin Vet continues the globally successful format of the Vet Shows, record‑breaking and award‑winning veterinary conferences running worldwide. Almost 20,000 veterinarians benefit every year from the high‑quality, low‑cost CE opportunities provided through CloserStill Media's veterinary events portfolio.

"This is an exciting launch for us all," said Rob Chapman, managing director of the Vet Group at CloserStill Media. "After the successful launch of New York Vet in 2017, and the addition of Chicago Vet and Wild West Vet in 2019, we have been looking for further opportunities to bring the Vet Show to more locations. Austin was the natural choice, due to the popular destination and large community of local veterinarians. Austin appeals both nationally and internationally, as it truly has something for everyone. 'The Live Music Capital of the World,' the stunning outdoor setting, and the world-famous BBQ make it an unbeatable location."

Austin Vet will follow the successful model first set by CloserStill Media's 2009 launch of the London Vet Show, which is now the largest veterinary conference and exhibition in Europe. Over two days, Austin Vet will provide a world‑class CE program and a revolutionized exhibition experience. Adding Austin to the successful global Vet Show portfolio brings the number of Vet Show events to eight: Chicago Vet (Chicago), France Vet (Paris), Deutsche Vet (Cologne), Wild West Vet (Reno), Singapore Vet (Singapore), New York Vet (New York), and London Vet (London). The Vet Show portfolio now educates nearly 20,000 veterinary professionals every year.

Brief Media, publisher of industry‑leading brands Clinician's Brief and Plumb's Veterinary Drugs, is a driving force behind the US expansion of the Vet Shows and will be curating the Austin Vet conference program. The successful partnership between CloserStill and Brief Media started with New York Vet in 2017, which now attracts more than 3,000 veterinary professionals and 250 exhibitors after only two years.

"We were immensely gratified to see our partnership with CloserStill Media result in well‑attended, highly ranked educational events," said Elizabeth Green, CEO and founder of Brief Media. "Developing an event that provides an exceptional CE and exhibition experience for our audience while only requiring 2 days out of practice is consistent with our company philosophy: providing more with less expenditure of resources for busy veterinarians. We are excited to deliver this trademark CE experience to veterinary professionals at Austin Vet."

Many US suppliers are already familiar with the Vet Show format.

"[New York Vet was] by far our best show of the year. Loved the location and staff. Loved the happy hour. It's such a fun time," said Joseph Kasabuski, a sales representative for VetMatrix. "What's not to love? It's New York City! We will without a doubt be back next year."

Austin Vet will debut at the Palmer Events Center in Austin, Texas, on April 20 and 21, 2020. For more information, contact Cheryl Sutton, Brief Media director of events and partnerships, at 918‑710‑4605.
