Strategic Account Manager

The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for strategically developing marketing programs for key accounts and increasing revenue within existing territory through strategic partnerships.  This individual will be required to hit the ground running to build key client stakeholder relationships, offer strategic guidance and grow new business through prospecting within assigned territory.

The Strategic Account Manager role requires a deep understanding of strategic selling and partnership development, but also the ability to help clients assess business needs and develop programs around all media, marketing, advertising, technology, and events efforts.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Strategic and consultative selling within assigned key accounts with annual revenue growth.

  • Responsible for prospecting and growing new business within assigned territory.

  • Lead on strategy, planning, execution and reconciliation on all brand needs.

  • Development and execution of integrated, multi-platform programs including research and media surrounding events.

  • Brainstorm and implement ideas and strategies for business planning and increasing sales within territory.

  • Proactively strategize with both clients and agency counterparts to find new opportunities within account.

  • Ability to sell targeted data-driven and technology-based products and partnerships.

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with day-to-day clients as well as expand to new relationships within account that drive revenue.

  • Ability to meet forecasted and actual monthly budgeted sales.

  • Look at challenges from the client perspective to better understand how we can turn a client’s brand positioning into a fully realized marketing and media investment at scale.

  • Master the industry categories you are assigned and be able to engage clients on specialized topics that drive their business.

Skills & Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or related field; preferred 3+ years of experience

  • Extensive knowledge of digital/multimedia platforms

  • Strong influential and leadership skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and analytical skills.

  • Digital sales experience required; Veterinary profession experience a plus

  • Consultative selling background, client proposals, and proficient in PowerPoint

  • CRM experience required

  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced and changing environment
