Marketing Content Copywriter
We are hiring a Marketing Content Copywriter to write engaging and original copy for our brands and products, across a number of mediums and outlets. Our ideal candidate has a strong background and interest in product marketing, email marketing, brand storytelling, and data-driven decision-making.
You consider yourself a strong, skilled writer and as such, you don’t jump straight into a blank page: You know successful copy is built on strategic audience research and planning. You can nimbly move from strategic ideation all the way to campaign execution.
You have a razor-sharp focus on details—like proofreading and meeting deadlines—but you know how to let the big picture guide that focus.
You are an effective communicator, and you are constantly on the lookout for inspiration and new ideas. You are a quick learner and a problem solver, and you proactively seek feedback and opportunities to improve.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and possess a strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle multiple projects independently, with a passion for exceptional copy that creates engaging experiences for our customers and clients. Appreciation of the Oxford comma is a must.
Write engaging and original copy for all brands and products across a number of mediums and outlets (eg, email, social, website, newsletter and digital ads, print ads, direct mail, landing pages)
Develop compelling copy based on customer and audience research using voice of customer strategies and proven copywriting formulas to keep our messaging engaging and relatable
Edit deliverables and collateral for other teams as needed, according to house style
Remain current on best practices and trends in digital and print marketing and brainstorm ways to incorporate and leverage these new ideas
Support the team with project management duties to ensure deliverables are completed and sent out on time
Assist in brainstorming new marketing strategies and tactics and provide support on overall marketing campaign direction
- Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred)
3+ years of experience working in marketing or related role
Exceptional writing skills
Proven ability to create persuasive content on a variety of topics and in several different voices
Experience writing digital and print content that has driven engagement for a company, organization, or campaign
Experience creating easy-to-read content, simplifying complex topics, and developing attention-grabbing titles
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in Google and Adobe product suites
3+ years of relevant writing/editing or content marketing experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle numerous projects at once
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information
Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who can remain focused in a high-pressure environment
Knowledge of veterinary industry a plus
